The small town of St-Sulpice-Lauriere is set amongst the picturesque beauty of the Ambazac Hills of the Limousin region. There are spectacular views of the local terrain which is heavily forested and with many etangs (lakes). Wildlife abounds deer, wild boar and hares can be seen in the forest as well as many species of birds. The area is well known for walking, mountain biking, course fishing and horse riding. A traditional detached village house situated right in the heart of St Sulpice Laurier (the local store and boulangerie are only one minute away). There are two supermarkets, a pharmacy, a butchers and of course a boulangerie for fresh bread every day. There is a morning market on Fridays in the main square. There is also an ATM machine and a Post Office. The railway runs through St Sulpice Lauriere with trains running to Limoges and back two or three times a day. The station is best known for the twelve Ginkgos Biloba trees that decorate the car park in front of the station. They were offered by the brother of the emperor of Japan in 1864 to Mr. de Leffe, the engineer who directed the building work of the railway line Montlucon/Limoges. 7 Rue de la Trappe There is a large open plan sitting/dining room, the kitchen and a further room presently a bedroom on the ground floor. The original stairs lead to a small landing off which is the bathroom/toilet (there is an additional toilet on the ground floor), two bedrooms and a further sitting room. The stairs lead upward to the loft which although sparsely furnished, has another three bedrooms. The house has a large cellar where the oil-fired heating boiler is situated. At the back is a large secure garden with cherry trees. As stated the house has the oil-fired central heating, mains electricity, mains water and drainage and telephone. (all services will be transferred into the name of the lessee).
